At the &lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;International Alternative Press Festival&lt;/span&gt; artists will be exhibiting and selling their self-published comix, zines, art books, prints, radical literature and poetry. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There will also be three rooms of workshops and talks including Andy Simons from the British Library, screen-printing workshops and a reading area with Zine Swap.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Entry to general public: £2&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;Alternative Press&lt;/span&gt; are an organized group of artists dedicated to establishing the free expression of art via self publishing. The piece was inspired by sea shanty’s, songs performed by men who lived and worked on the sea. It was collectively produced and conceived by Jessica Akerman, Ellie Curtis, Christopher Rainbow and Juliet Sugg. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Comprised within a blacked out beach hut, participants could discover a medative &lt;br /&gt;experience conveying the juxtaposition of both the isolation and communal experience of life at sea. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The installation was topped off with a live sunset performance by the Whitstable based Sea Shanty and Folk group Dead Horse Morris and the Ship Wright Shanty Crew on the beach front on the last Saturday of the event. Located in a beach hut during the Biennale, you are invited to lie back and immerse yourself in the narratives of those who have lived and worked on the ocean. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The beach hut will also host a LIVE shanty session at 7pm Saturday 3rd July lead by local folk ensemble Dead Horse Morris &amp; The Ship Wright Shanty Crew!
